Here's How:
- Mix flour and salt in a bowl until evenly mixed.
- Add warm water, and mix well with spoon. If the mixture is too moist and sticky, add small amounts of flour. If the mixture is dry, add small amounts of warm water.
- Knead the ingredients until a doughy consistency is reached.
- Place the dough in an airtight container. You may refrigerate it for longer lasting dough. The dough can be used for several days. Dispose of the dough when it no longer smells fresh or if it appears soiled by use.
Tips:
- If you would like to make multiple colors of dough, mix in small amounts of food coloring until desired color is reached.
- Make scented dough using various flavors of powdered, unsweetened drink mix. Do not allow students to eat the dough. Some students with sensory integration problems may be distracted by scented dough. If so, revert to the unscented dough.
