Arizona State University professors have landed a 1.6 million dollar grant to develop a screener for language impairments from the U.S. Department of Education’s Institute for Education Sciences. Professors involved with the project say the screener is needed because assessment instruments currently available are culturally biased and may lead to inaccurate results.
