Optometrists and Special Education Evaluations - What do They Do? - Special Education Term of the Week

When your child is being referred for a special education evaluation to determine if she has a learning disability, the first step is often pre-referral screenings. Vision is typically screened at the school or through a local health agency. In some instances, schools will refer children for a more comprehensive eye examination from an optometrist.
