My Review

My child was having surgery, and her teacher went out of her way to send a gift to the hospital for all the nurses and doctors to sign. It was so thoughtful because it caused them to take a few extra minutes to talk to my daughter and get to know her before the surgery. She also delivered handmade cards from her classmates. It made Shelly feel much better about being in the hospital and helped her feel less afraid.

What grade did this happen?

Elementary School

How did this impact your child?

Shelly's hospital experience went more smoothly, and she developed friendships with several of the staff.

How did you handle this?

I wrote a letter to the principal letting him know how much we appreciated what Shelly's teacher did and how it helped.

Your Advice for Others

When a teacher goes out of her way to do something nice for your child, take a few minutes to thank her and also to let her principal know how much you appreciated her efforts.

Would you recommend this to a friend?

Yes
