- Visit the Blog Carnival Dates page to find out the current topic.
- Write a great non-commercial blog post that addresses the theme of the carnival in some way.
- Link to the Carnival Invitation blog post somewhere in your post.
- Submit the name of your blog post, the permalink (if you have one), and your name and email address to learningdisabilities.guide@about.com.
- Fine Print:
- You must be the original author of the content and have full permission to post it on your blog.
- Blog entries that are commercial in nature will not be accepted. In other words, the submitted post cannot be an attempt to sell a product or service.
- Content must be family friendly.
- The carnival editor has final say as to whether a blog entry meets the theme of the month.
- The carnival editor has final say as to which posts will appear in the Carnival and may have to limit submissions.
- Submitted blog entries must include a link to the Carnival Invitation for that month.
A blog carnival is similar to a special edition of a magazine. Like a special edition, blog carnivals are collections of blog posts that share a common theme but are written by different authors.
In a blog carnival, a participant writes a post about the carnival's topic. The post links back to a central location where readers can find a list of posts by other bloggers who are taking part in the carnival. Blog carnivals offer readers a chance to discover new blogs. For authors, carnivals offer an opportunity to attract a new audience and build a following.
