Top 3 Educational Toys for Toddlers - Twelve to Twenty-four Mon

By , About.com Guide

From ages twelve to twenty-four months, toddlers are learning words and phrases even before they can speak. They gather information from their environments from their senses of hearing, sight, touch, and taste. Choose toys that support their development by stimulating those senses. These toys are good choices to encourage learning toddlers from about 12 to 24 months (one to two years).

Remember when considering toys to follow age recommendations featured on toy packaging for safety. Any toys that are small enough to pass through a paper towel core must be kept away from children under three years of age.
