Allegations - Allegations in Special Education Due Process and Section 504

Definition: The term allegations in an IDEA or section 504 due process hearing, formal complaint investigation, or court proceeding refers to statements about the case that are not yet proven by evidence or credible testimony.

Also Known As: accusations, assertions

Examples: The parent alleged the child failed because his IEP was not implemented. However, she had not yet proven this allegation after the opening statements were made.
