Special Education Week in New Jersey
Monday May 12, 2008
Over the last 23 years, the New Jersey School Boards Association has sponsored a Special Education Week in cooperation with a special education parent advisory group. With all the confidentiality issues surrounding special education programs and students, this week-long program is refreshingly open. The week involves special events intended to raise awareness of special education programs, showcase student work, and demonstrate the contributions of successful adults and students with disabilities. Read more about special education week and let us know your thoughts on such a program. Is it a good idea? Would you support a similar program in your schools? Inquiring minds want to know.
